Apple’s iPhone 6 event is about to get under way. While I’m personally one of many who have pent up demand for a new phone, it’s worth noting that Google search trends for “iPhone” look slightly less enthusiastic for this release than past ones.
Looking at the embedded Google trends chart below, the spikes occur around new iPhone releases. At the moment, the current spike is the smallest since 2010. After today’s announcement though it’s possible that search activity will pick up as people follow up to find out what was said.
